The dissociation is part of the withdrawals?? That makes sense because they come in waves. Woahhh. Good to know. I'll try to override them instead of accepting them as real info to consider that I might be missing something and then start getting suspicious.
Being on antidepressants for that long then coming off of them can be scary because of the unknown. I can see why you're worried about it. I didn't know there were SSRIs that are easier to come off of, but I think I remember reading that Paxil is the strongest acting on serotonin of the SSRIs, followed by Zoloft.
Have you talked to your prescribing doctor about it? Maybe they have some ideas that can help reduce the withdrawals.

I think the disassociation might be part of the withdrawal. That's a great idea! It's difficult but I think overriding them is best if you are able to do it. I have issues overriding it myself sometimes. I took Zoloft for a very brief amount of time and ended up having some bad stomach issues so stopped it to return to Paxil. I am going to try and talk to my Doctor again but might look for something like the Tapering Clinic to help. absolutely
