Yeah... I'm a lesbian who attracts guys without even trying. Sometimes without even bothering to talk to a guy! Straight girls would probably kill for a trait like that, but I don't even know what it is about me that attracts guys so much and NOT girls.
It could just be looks, but then how come I can't attract other girls that way? All they guys I've dated before coming out always said things like "You're my little doll." or from an anime fan "You're so moe!" (Funny because that relationship ended quickly, and my views on 'moe' were completely ruined.) I've also been called things like 'Tabby-cat' (although that is kind of my nickname...), 'princess', and 'doll-face'. Thing is, I don't like being treated like I'm some sort of cute animal, nor do I enjoy the princess treatment.
And I've made a TON of female friends with my personality, so I can't figure out why I can't seem to get a girlfriend that way.
I love being a lesbian, but sometimes it's REALLY confusing. If anyone has ideas, I'd love to hear them. >.<

And yes, I did draw my profile picture. I have more work on deviantart, but it's VERY old. I might just poster newer work on here.

I used to work with a guy when I was in my early to mid 30s who really attracted women. I never saw anything like it. Just walking through a crowded restaurant, half the younger women (20-30 age group) there would be watching him like a hawk. The whole time he'd have a smirk on his face that I didn't understand at all.
It turned out he was gay and had no interest in any of them.

i had a similar issue before (i am bisexual and i was looking for a woman to date at one point). i couldn't get women to pay attention to me. a lot of it is social conditioning. you (like me) are probably reacting differently to men than women without realising it, because you were raised to do that in a society where that is the "norm". this is a no-brainer considering you even used to date men. you are likely giving men lingering glances, slight touches, laughing a little too long at their jokes, etc.
basically, i found i was not on women's radar at all. i experimented a bit to try to talk to women like i used to talk to men, and it worked like a charm. it was as easy as flipping a switch.
oh, and about the cutesy pet names... if you don't want to be treated like that, don't encourage it at all. make it clear at the outset that you are not cool with it.
