"f*****g Åmål" (a.k.a. "Show Me Love") is one of the best movies I've ever seen. Though "Heavenly Creatures" was maybe even better.. (Actually I'm a bit worried because I like the latter one so much - there's quite brutal violence in that movie. But in some way HC is so mesmerizing.)

For some reason I have a soft spot for "Fried Green Tomatoes" too. Even though it's a bit simple and syrupy. Maybe there's just so great chemistry between the actresses, or something.

I love f*****g Åmål too. Btw, I noticed you too were from Finnland. Did you know that there's a new lgbt movie (Kerron sinulle kaiken) coming to cinemas this month?

Yeah, I've heard about that movie. It would be interesting to see it. There has been a bit contradictory criticism about the movie in the media, though. Maybe I should just see it myself. :)

Aimee & Jaguar is quite good too (it is not one of my biggest favourites though).

I absolutely love "Latter Days" and "But I'm a Cheerleader!".

"Boys Don't Cry", "Lilies", and "Aimée and Jaguar" are excellent movies but I feel down every time I watch them. :(

Other favourites include "F*cking Åmål", "Brokeback Mountain", "If These Walls Could Talk 2", "Tomboy", and "RENT" (which is more of an AIDS narrative, but I thought it was fairly queer-positive and so on this list it goes).

"A kiss in the snow." Short norwegian movie. First time when I see it - I was about 17 y.o. Still now I love this movie.
Also there is a beautiful movie "Private Romeo (2011)"

"Bear City" is on Netflix

Lighthearted cute little movie, requires no brainpower, and such a wide variety of cute guys in it something for most every taste.

Sorry for bumping this thread back up, but is anyone looking forward to seeing The Danish Girl later this month?
