If neither of you can handle a forum thread discussing legitimate sex education topics, then feel free not to post in it/leave. This is the LGBT forum and thus appropriate for discussing all things related, including sex.

IMO, these sorts of topics shouldn't be taboo. Some people need to learn about these things and prefer to ask in this forum vs. google it.

Anyways, as for googling, I haven't watched these particular video clips because I don't need to.. but gay youtuber Davey Wavey has put out a couple of popular videos on "how to top" and "how to bottom." Google/youtube them for a little sex education.

I believe they did that because they're my friends. And I suppose they follow me wherever I make posts and threads. Still I agree on your point though.

I'll do as I like, thanks. As always.

If someone doesnt like my comments... they, too, are free to leave. Quite frankly, if someone has issues with something I say, it's THEIR problem... not mine. I even point out, frequently, that I'm an extremely negative individual. I refuse to try to be something that I'm not.

Also, had you bothered to look through the topic, you might have noticed that I'd been in the topic well before that was even brought up. So no, I wasnt jumping into a topic about only that and then expressing disdain.

Oh, and the title of the thread. The original topic... it kinda had nothing to do with the thing that we were complaining about there to begin with. So it made sense that I was here.

Pretty much, yeah. I tend to hop into threads made by people I know.

That and... yeah, it was about something totally different to start with. Attraction to fictional characters is something I'm kinda familiar with, though I usually dont say it much. But, ah, derailment... rarely on a forum does the topic train go all that long before randomly launching off a cliff  I was moreso surprised by WHAT derailed it. Kinda... didnt really expect that.

Derailment itself though, I understand. I do that alot. I start talking about, like, arcade games or something, and then I end up ranting about the layout of the local Walmart.

While I was searching through the theme shop in my 3DS I came across a theme that was based on the original Kid Icarus game and... Well it turned me on a little... The main character Pit that is. :?

^ DANG! I get turned on just by looking at him!

In fact It's not the first time I've been turned on by a fictional male character before. Here are just a few characters that turned me on in the past:

1. Len Kagamine (a Vocaloid)

2. (underwear) Shulk

3. Dark Pit

4. Cloud Strife

...And so on.

In fact I think I might be sexually open to just about any guy.

But of course, I wouldn't be making this thread without a fair share of questions. Here they are:

1. How can you tell if you are gay and what can you do to know for sure?

2. Is anal intercourse really hard to do?

3. How hard/easy is it to find a same sex partner?

4. How do you deal with homophobic people should you turn out gay or bisexual?

I hope you can at least answer some of these questions.

It says that you're female under your avatar.

If you are attracted to male characters, you are straight.

If you are attracted to female characters, you are a lesbian.

If you are attracted to people, characters, etc of both sexes, then you are bisexual.

No shame in being either straight, homo, or bi. You are what you are. Sometimes sexuality can be placed on a spectrum, like the kinsey scale.

Follow your heart...or genitalia, to wherever that might lead you. But yeah...you're bi.

I agree with this for the most part.

Dont worry about the labels, yep. Just... roll with it, is what I say! :D

Or I may have already said that earlier. Heck if I know.

I could have, yes, but I have other things to do with my time that I value more.

Yet you left a taunt nonetheless, I should note. Better things, eh? Sure, sure.

Or better yet, you could have just read the thread from the beginning as I said. Everything I said was true. Would have shown my reason for being here and for not leaving upon the subject change. Try that next time before acting that way.

Fictional characters can suggest your orientation and if you're curious it's a good idea to explore it as a possibility, but it doesn't necessarily mean someone is gay or bi. An animated or pretend character is different from a real person, and imagining being close to them is different from actually touching, smelling, or having sex with the same sex or gender.

In my case, I've never once been turned on by looking at a real man or by touching the male body in my lifetime, and I think having a "boyfriend" or children with a man would be gross, but there are guy characters where there's enough mental distance to think they're a bit attractive based on personality and cuddle appeal. Yet even if I think of actually having sex with those... eugh.

You could either be a bit flexible or just discovering that you're into men, both fictional and real.

What happened to "better things to do", eh?

Dont answer that. If I facepalm any harder IRL, the shockwave will blow out a wall. I'm not paying for that.

Don't worry about it. People who spend their time derailing WrongPlanet threads with unfunny jokes already have very sad lives.

Didn't take long to type that.

Lol I don't live a sad life at all. I have friends, family, a decent job, health, fitness, hobbies, kiteboarding to look forward to in the Summer, and far too many job/$ earning opportunities available to me that I can't possibly pursue them all and thus have the first world problem of turning down job/contract/project offers in order to do the things I'd prefer to do for fun and money. I have a pretty good life over all, and with continued hard work I'm going to have an even better one in the future.

All adorabros.

1. How can you tell if you are gay and what can you do to know for sure?

This is a more complicated question that you might think. Fundamentally only you can answer it. It took me 30 years to come to terms with it, let alone come out of the closet. Hatching or coming out of the closet is a bit like dying. You do lose a lot, its a kind of death of the old you, with all that implies: pain, loss, anxiety, grief, but you come back. It's a rebirth. You may lose family but we often find ways of making our own families.

I'm trans and pansexual so I'm a little different but really the only way to tell is to experiment. Try on the role. See if there are folks of the same gender you click with. In my case I started by dressing up female, learning to apply makeup and seeing if I liked myself in the mirror. After getting dolled up one day by someone who knew what they were doing, I saw myself in the mirror and then I knew. And then I started to die. It was a rough year beginning my transition.

2. Is anal intercourse really hard to do?

Kinda but keep in mind you don't have to be interested in anal sex to be gay. Not every gay person does anal. I don't like it very much. I prefer "frot" and oral sex.

3. How hard/easy is it to find a same sex partner?

It depends, it can be about as hard to find an opposite sex partner but if you live in a rural area or a small down its going to be really hard. I live in a big city and have started engaging with support groups. I'm not a bar kind of person, its too noisy, too crowded, very over stimulating but I have had fun with what I was able to tolerate.

4. How do you deal with homophobic people should you turn out gay or bisexual?

*sigh* Bullies are definitely out there. I have been driven out of a place I was staying by homophobic neighbors. My preference is to simply not deal with them but you often don't get that choice. I wound up relocating to a more tolerant city where there are lots of other queer folks to network with.
