I've never seen anything wrong with gay marriage. It's marriage between two adults, and it's not about marrying someone who's not an adult.
I've never understood homophobia in general. I don't get why some people think being gay is wrong.

I think the main excuse for homophobia and gay-bashing is obviously because of certain religions that claim that it is evil.

That's all I'm going to say about it.

I think it should be completely acceptable. I very strongly believe in the separation of church & state. Even animals are gay. I seen male dogs humping each other & even some humping cats before so i really don't get why it's bad for us humans to marry the same sex when gayness is perfectly natural. I also think we should be able to be married to more than one person.

Except that 2 male dogs, or even 2 female dogs, humping is a dominance behavior. They’re determining the pecking order in the pack.

i think for older people, most of their lives they have associated marriage as husband and wife, bride and groom, their mom and dad, their opposite sex wife or husband. something new being added to something traditional takes time for some to adjust to and doesn't have to mean they're homophobic.

I find that to be the case with a lot of older people and not just about homosexuality. A lot of older people might also seem like they're being racist but it isn't really that they are racist it's just that they came from a different generation where the different races of people didn't intermingle like they do now so most of them just have a hard time adjusting to it. Sometimes they still use old fashioned politically incorrect terms like "colored" but they don't really mean any offense by it.

I try not to hold things like that against the older generation because of that reason. It's hard to adapt to the changes made in society as you get older.

In any case, the number-one most common cause for divorce is marriage!

No Marriage => No Divorce => No Alimony.

Simple, eh?

The word is "Annulment". Or just go to a state or country where "No-Fault Divorce" laws are not dependent on the whims of the RCC.

[moved to LGBT discussion]

personally i think marriage is an antiquated concept with no place in modern society. it's nothing more than an expensive legal formality that makes it unjustifiably difficult to break up - and most married couples will, lets be honest. or want to, at least. so i don't see the logic in barring homosexuals from it. if they see a point to it, if they want it, let them.

also i don't see how legalizing same sec marriage will lead to marrying toasters or pedophilia or whatever. same sex marriage means exactly that, no more.

Isn't an Annulment harder to get than an actual divorce though?
