It could also be because of how guys with Asperger's tend to be very shy. People tend to presume that shy guys are gay.

I dunno, I've know quite a few gay guys, very few could be described as shy. Pushy, loud, occasionally witty queens, sure, but shy, never.

I agree. But what does this have to do with the subject in the thread title?

I'm a goth guy, naturally I've been called gay by people. I'm actually bisexual, so they're half right, I suppose. I look like a nerd most of the time but can make an effort if prompted (and with that, I mean make my hair big and wear one of my nicer concert tees). I've tried wearing eyeliner once but it only looked good after I'd smudged it a bit. I have a feminine walk, suck at P.E and mathematics and am a vegetarian. This should ping a lot of gaydars, supposedly. My voice gets higher and I emote a lot (gestures, smiles, hand movements, etc) when I talk about something especially interesting.

I am a Hetero Aspie, but strangers and new aquaintences have frequently thought I was gay. It usually wasn't bad, but was on occasion done in a demeaning way that gave me a small feeling for what it must be like. The experiences increased my empathy for gay people.

My boyfriend has AS and I am a girl. He has long black hair and will sometimes wear womens clothing. I do not have a problem with this because I actually like the tight shirts on him HAHA. Before we started dating he said that he appreciated both the male and female sex. He never admitted to being bi or anything.

We both work at a mall and I do get the comment from people who find out that we are dating; "Wait!? I thought he was gay???"

I don`t care what people say he is different and unique. I like different and unique and I think that is why I am attracted to him.

Many think I'm gay and are shocked to find out how many girls I've had...
