just for the record, i believe in Jesus,
and technically, being LGBT may not have
been part of the original plan, but neither
was straight pre-marital sex, and any other
sin that people commit, so, just here to say
i bet there are many chrisitans that love
people that are LGBT

This kind of "love" I can live without. My life isn't "sin", & I got no use for anyone who says it is.

My extended family is strongly against LGBT people. They say they "love" me but they are part of the Conservative Tea Party, who thinks homosexuality is a sin, abnormal and curable.

I have no use for Christians either, but for other reasons.
^ I have to admit that there's a certain level of alienation - all that Christianity appears to offer me is damnation & isolation. But my biggest problem with Christianity is simply that I don't believe it.

I'm fine with Christians like those in the United Church of Canada (a very liberal institution, known for endorsing such things as gay marriage, a woman's right to an abortion, and birth control) and Unitarian Universalists (although I don't think they really count as Christian). Any Christian who things that homosexuality is a sin or not part of the plan, even if they do have the hate the sin, love the sinner attitude, I find at best condescending and I have no time for them.

Homosexuality is not part of the plan, nor are 747 jumbo jets. Babies dying are not part of the plan, bombs are not part of the plan. Poodles are not part of the plan. Star Trek is not part of the plan. The world we live in is not the plan. Yet here they all are.
Gay sex isn't sin, straight sex isn't sin. Sex, both gay and straight, is a perfectly natural thing all higher order animals do. If gay sex wasn't part of the "original plan" there is virtually no species that doesn't do it!
LGBTQ people don't need your condescending kind of love. We are a-okay just the way we are. If your religion tells you otherwise, maybe it's time to get rid of it, because it's just plain wrong.

Unitarians are christian, though they reject the trinity. Unitarian Universalists are not. They are not the same faith.

God's plans are kind of screwy. They sound like something your drunk buddy would come up with after the seventh shot of Jager. "You know what, we should just, like, wipe it all out, man. Flood the earth. Flood it. Get rid of everything. Start over. But it'll be cool, man. Don't worry. I know a guy with a boat."
