I'm a bisexual hypocrite

Hi, I'm Bi and I noticed something that is odd to me. On men I don't care about things like leg hair and armpit hair (within reason) and I don't even mind a little on the torso. But on women it still weirds me out a little, and I have trouble getting past it. I feel like such a hypocrite and even a little guilty sometimes. Anyone else feel this way?

Not to sound crude, but would you want to see a penis on a woman or a vagina on a man?

The point of that is to express that men and women are clearly different biologically. Hence, the separation of sexual preferences. You're attracted to both men and women who adhere to the social norms of society.

So in a sense, you're not really a hypocrite. Your bisexuality is based on sincere attraction to the different gender types and their respective roles (i.e. men having body hair, woman expected to shave).

EDIT: Even in heterosexuality people may prefer a certain "type." Some men find blonde women more attractive than non-blondes, some women find crew cut soldier-type men more attractive than long-haired hippies, etc.

Since you're bisexual, I think it would make sense that the type of man you like would be different than the type of woman.

it is hypocritical i guess. that's the way society has socialised people though but it's good that you recognise that it is a problem. i think i had issues at one point but i realised i was being sexist and that the issues weren't with other peoples bodies really they were with mine and i wouldn't think this way if it weren't for society and it was illogical to think that way. i got over it. peoples bodies fascinate me and body hair doesn't really matter. it's just hair in the end.

I don't like body hair on anybody, personally. But that's just me being nitpicky.

I wouldn't worry about it too much, that's what modern American society programs us to find acceptable, after all. I'm bi too, and while I'm not a big fan of body hair period, I find it more acceptable on men than on women.

I like hair on men and women.

I like it on men because of the texture. I like it on women because it's taboo and that excites me. I like a smooth woman, too - for the texture, women have wonderful skin. Hair on a woman has an erotic shock factor for me, though. Guess my ideal girlfriend would be hairy sometimes and smooth at other times.

But yeah, you're not hypocritical. Tastes can change over time, though.
