The 1994 song Come To My Window, by Melissa Etheridge, has some homosexual undertones, such as with the lyrics, "I don't care what they say / What do they know about this love anyway?". This song was released shortly after she came out as a lesbian, I think.

"I Kissed A Girl" - Katy Perry
"Rise Up and Shout" - John Quale
"There She Goes" - Sixpence None The Richer (The original version by The La's was sung by a straight man, so this version in which it is sung by a woman has lesbian undertones, although the singer herself isn't a lesbian as far as I know)
"Hummingbird" - Smile.dk (it is sung by a woman apparently about another woman [the "hummingbird" in the song is referred to with feminine pronouns] and includes lines like "all I needed was love/all I needed was a little friend" and "I feel good when she is near")

I can't believe that no one has mentioned "Born This Way" yet.

On a much more obscure note, there's the following:

As best as I can tell, it's a woman saying how happy she is that her brother is getting married, and implying that he is gay. Although there seem to be some contradictory lyrics on there.

also if we're saying "ymca" then we have to say the village peoples "in the navy". that ones just especially obvious.

Many songs by openly-gay rock icon Bob Mould are about his relationships, good and bad, with other guys.

My favorite song from his latest CD "Life and Times" is "I'm Sorry Baby, But You Can't Stand in My Light Any More"

Bob Mould history: Husker Du, Sugar and his best work (in my opinion) Bob Mould solo stuff.

(He's not your typical gay icon... more of a bear, very masculine, average looks.)

I  this song, I like a lot of rise against stuff though, and this is one of those magical songs that's filled with hope and sadness. Also love the it gets better campaign.
