Where they would be extra touchy with you e.g. stroking your hair. Could you please share your experience of this because I'm in a confusing situation with one atm, I'm not sure whether she is actually straight.

Look how she acts towards others. Some people are just touchy-feely with everyone regardless of gender, so you shouldn't try to read into it too much. If it's just happening to you, then she's probably flirting.
