Macklemore's song Same Love? It's not typical hip hop in terms of style but it's incredibly unique as the whole song was done in support of gay rights. The video plays out the story of a gay man and his whole life and I just bawled my eyes out the first time I saw it. It was in support specifically of the measure in Washington state to legalize same sex marriage.

Anyway, have you seen the video/heard the song, and if yes, what did you think of it?

Nice song I guess. It's also good to have songs with LGBT content. it helps with awareness.

The referendum in Washington state he was supporting in the video did pass, I'm sure everyone knows that but I also think that's an amazing aspect of this song.

Thank you for sharing this! I am very happy it did pass. Was it that the people in Washinton were voting for same-sex marriage or not? If so I am happy that many voted for a pass but should a vote even go for if people get married or not when the people are deciding something that may or may not have anything to do with themselves?

more than that, it's good to have a song from this genre with lgbt content. it doesn't ridicule, deride or objectify. and it's on the radio all the time.
