I have high functioning aspergers (undiagnosed) and I am also ftm. I knew I had asperger's before I transitioned, but I've been on hormones for just over a year now and sometimes I wonder if being on testosterone has increased my aspie traits..... or maybe they are just more obvious now that I am not trying so hard to pretend to be something/one I am not. Or maybe it is just me not being able to adjust to "male culture"? Idk.

Anyone else had a similar experience?

From a mtf trans perspective ....

on T as a fake male I was so into math, puzzles, computer games
off T for 9 years .. I am into sharing, non-verbal conversing with others online, more social, not into (math, puzzles and computer games)

I don't know if my traits are WORSE, but I know that since transition a lot of them have been more easily dismissed as just "guy behavior" because in someone seen as a girl they seemed REALLY out of place I guess. A lot of quirks I've always had that align with my autism I'll try to explain to someone, and they'll just say "oh, ALL guys do that!" :-/

Mine have definitely gotten worse since starting testosterone (I started it about 7 months ago but socially transitioned starting about 10 months ago). Although I'm generally much happier, I get even more overwhelmed when my routine gets messed up or if something unexpected happens, and I just generally get overstimulated more easily than before (I've also been stimming more, which was really rare for me before). I also get angry at people more easily than before, but I think that has less to do with Aspergers and more to do with the testosterone itself. In terms of social skills I believe I've improved some, mostly just due to not being so profoundly uncomfortable with myself. I have some other traits/symptoms that have gotten a bit worse as well, but I can't recall what they are right now, unfortunately.
