Tonight I went bowling with friends and I did return having a good time. When my friend/co-worker was driving me home, we had a conversation about one of the other co-workers I felt was attractive but he is heterosexual. Not only that, he is 16 and I am 20 and I will stay away from getting into such trouble. Besides that when we got into the car, he already had guessed and somehow knew I had an attraction towards this co-worker. It was because every now and then it was the way I interacted with him and I somehow gravitated towards him. My friend observed the entire time so he could read what was happening. I tried to balance my interactions with other people but I happened to especially talk to this guy more. I felt like he knew but he managed to still have normal conversations with me. I felt like I unintentionally gave myself away without telling him. Conversations were very casual as well as the space like any other friend. We did arm wrestle though and I did enjoy it ;) Other than that. I want your input on this. Do not call me a pedophile please. He sounds much older and looks older. Anyhow thank you so much

Rob

In another space and time, a 20 year old hitting on a 16 year old wouldn't seem so bad. Unfortunately, in the day and age of which we live, such an attraction is seen as a no-no. To avoid legal problems just get him out of your mind. People get in trouble for this all the time and it's not worth it in the end.

He's heterosexual, so I'd say that's the end of the story. We can't help who we like, but we can help what we do about it.

Thanks :) I had to get this off my chest. I am just hoping not to make any awkward moments happen and plus he works with me so that would also be a reason I will keep my distance but be friendly with him. I will find a guy to play with who is above legal age if not even older and also I want to feel freedom and be satisfied.

Age diff makes it illegal most likely, so don't even consider it.

Also, he's hetero and you're homo.. so it's never going to happen, anyways.

That stuff aside, there's absolutely nothing wrong with being attracted to someone you find attractive. Just continue working with the guy like normal, have normal conversations and interactions (trying not to be a creeper lol) and just enjoy the fact that he's good looking.

We all have a string of tales of crushes and attractions that go unrequited. He's probably straight. And if he isn't straight, he has a boyfriend. And he's gay and single, you're not his type, and on and on and on.

While we all love the idea of mutual love at first sight with the man who perfectly matches our fantasies, the reality for most of the people I know is that the people we fall in love with aren't our fantasy figures. The qualities of a good boyfriend are far more important than his looks.

You had me right up until the last sentence.. then you lost me. I do agree that the qualities of a good boyfriend are important and highly valuable, but I also believe that looks/aesthetic attraction is also important and shouldn't be a distant second in terms of boyfriend criteria. I don't feel I'm superficial, but if I'm not physically attracted to someone there's just absolutely no way I could foresee myself dating them - ever. There has to be a balance between other qualities AND looks, imho.
