Where can I actually meet other young people IRL?

In my search (even in my one-off encounters) I generally always end up with older, sometimes middle-aged men... I tried going to this sauna thing and there were even some really old men (and, of course, when the occasional young person comes in he's quickly taken... so it just got depressing). So far I had... only two opportunities with people my age, and about twenty with older guys... skewed ratio.

To make it worse I even ended up with almost exclusively older people as company in different things over the years, including college (middle-aged women, to make my life as incompatible as possible...)

Unfortunately I don't know. I seem to attract older people as well. Although I do tend to get on well with older people, so that might explain why.

Use personal ads specifying the age range of guys you're interested in so that hopefully some reply. Here, craigslist is very active for ads like that - but I'm sure there are many personal ad/gay dating websites out there to use. Depends which ones are popular where you live.

Have you tried using any gay dating/hookup sites/apps? You can typically filter by age. There tend to be a lot more younger guys on various apps/hookup sites - but plenty of old guys, too. I mean sites like manhunt.net, or apps like grindr. Yep, they're mostly for sexual hookups - BUT there are also ppl on them seeking friends, activity partners, long term partners and everything else under the sun so I wouldn't completely write them off as bad places to meet ppl from.

Does wherever you live have a gay community? As in a physical location. I live in the suburbs of the Canadian city with the highest gay population in the country. There is literally a gay district where thousands of gay people live (and others) & so if I really wanted to go meet gay ppl of any age, I could head there and go to a pub/bar/club/lounge/restaurant/grocery store/park whatever. I never really have lol as the gay scene isn't really my thing at aalllll, but I could - and if there's a gay district in a major city near where you live, well, so could you. It's always an option to actually go out in real life and mingle with people and see who you might happen to meet.

I've tried all the online options with basically the same results... although, with regards to the latter, the sauna is the only thing I can go to IRL (and I can't exactly specify an age range there).

If there really aren't any young gay guys near you & there's only one place to go to meet any gay guys, the sauna, then I'd strongly consider relocating if I were you. There's a reason so many gay people move from wherever they live to be in large cities that have higher gay populations.
