..which means it's time for another ridiculously fun all night gay dance party.

This one is at a yet to be disclosed secret location.. I bought a ticket, but don't know where I'm going yet lol but I know and trust the party promoter/hosts, so it's all good. All we know is that it's a two floor brick building somewhere downtown Vancouver with a dance floor in the basement that hasn't been used in about 25 years. They're popping the locks and setting up for 4 dj's to play all night starting at 10:30pm til ?? and it's gonna be awesome.

Every time I party with these people I wonder how it could possible be any more fun the next time.. and then I'm always pleasantly surprised. Hopefully that happens again tonight! Now to make sure my car is running OK & figure out what I'm going to wear. The latter shouldn't be that hard lol sometimes there's a bunch of underwear models dancing in almost nothing soooo it's not like I have to put much effort in on that front.

general location announced.. it's actually in the heart of the gay village on Davie Street in Vancouver - the first time one of these very alternative parties will be hosted in the mainstream gaybourhood. It's also cohosted by Sin City on the 2nd floor.. sooo I'm thinking I'll be in for some very interesting sights tonight!

So I giggled a little bit when I googled the street address once it was published.. 1022 Davie Street, backdoor entrance.. the address seemed familiar but I couldn't quite place it.. *googled* - CELEBRITIES! - lol it was in the basement of Celebrities!

Unless you know Vancouver, you don't know the place. It's the most popular nightclub in town these days, right on the end of the gay village. It used to be a very gay club, but nowadays it's mostly straight all the time. So when the promoter posted on Facebook he wrote "Make Celebrities gay again!!" & so, yeah, party was on in a 2 room basement club underneath the main night club/dance floor & it was pretty awesome. No bathrooms down there, so we had to walk upstairs into the entrance of the main club and it was hilarious when the party promoter shouted "the gays are coming! the gays are coming!!" and all the straight club kids looked VERY confused about wtf was going on in the basement lololol

After party was at the promoters underground arts club space and went until 7am or so. So many fun and interesting moments all night.. but one that sticks out is the moment I realized why I'd never seen Nick and drag queen Coco Klein at the same party before lolol I didn't realize Nick did drag and was Coco Klein. Too funny. Then of course there were plenty of hookups going on & naturally I had a little fun with a couple cuties.. got a phone number, too.. but this fashion designer boy doesn't live super locally all the time. Ah well, fun times in the moment at least. Besides, I've been texting with someone I want to meet up with for a beer date and see if we click, anyways.

Also, the promoter filled me in on his plans for Pride (a different warehouse space in another part of the city), post-pride weekend clothing optional camping trip an hour out of Seattle marketed up and down the West coast, Halloween and New Years parties in both his space and the new warehouse space - different parties for different crowds. This year is shaping up to be an EPIC party year. Hopefully I can make it out to all of the big ones & maaaaybe even pop down across the border for a little camping trip.

lol forgot to mention another funny, one of the marketing taglines for "The Downlow" was "Mask for Mask" LOL and "Masks aren't required, but they are really hot!" lol too much fun! These people are the best to party with and Pride is going to be ridiculous fun this year.
