Unless they can't stand each other and would have to spend time with you together, why not be friends with both of them and see if either is compatible with you? Either could be straight, bi- or gay and you may not know it until you really get to know them. However, if you are a guy it might be setting yourself up for heartache, awkwardness and disappointment if Brandon really is not at all bi- or poly (and same for the girl if you are one also).
