Thinking about 'labels'. I've always felt "transgender" was a little bulky and awkward to say, kinda dry and clinical.

At least to specify MtF, I like the word "tranette". Different people have trouble with "tranny", though I don't really take offense. But "tranette" just sounds more fun than "transgender".

Now I don't know what a FtM would prefer.
I'm just talking about a phrase for my variety.

ugh, words, labels, ....they drive me nuts! jumble around in my head.
Always had a bit of a verbal disorder. I've heard the term 'hyperlexic', don't know if that applies.
It's something-lexic.

more labels!! ! 8O 8O 8O

I like "tranny." In the same way as I like "queer," "fag," "dyke," "poofter," etc. And they can all be applied to me in one way or another. Just don't strike me as an insult, though I know others are offended by them by having out my proverbial foot in my mouth more than once.
