A lot of cis male Aspies I've seen (famous people, in films, family members etc) seem to, presumably accidentally, sometimes come across as aloof or even rude/aggressive when talking to people they aren't comfortable around. I, however, am far more prone to becoming a bit giggly or excessively polite when I don't know or aren't comfortable around someone. I tend to talk very quietly and higher than I do around friends. I was wondering whether this is to do with the fact I've been raised as a girl.

Can anyone tell me if I've just come across a very narrow range of Aspies, or if anyone else has felt their discomfort manifest in sex-assigned-at-birth-related-stereotype ways.

Aspie boys are more likely to act out when they are frustrated, while aspie girls become withdrawn. I am extremely shy and passive in social situations, so I guess I'm a typical aspie girl in that regard.

Some social scientists believe that girls are better at developing such ways of camouflaging their disorder because they are socialized to be passive." -http://www.byparents-forparents.com/asperger-syndrome-girls.html

I also manifest in the female way, more quite and polite when uncomfortable.

I don't think I manifest in a asperger female way at all o-o I am more blunt and probably come off rude to people that way.
