This is a link to demos of songs that I am currently working on. I hope to get all of these worked up and finished by the middle of this year. (It goes really slow when you're working all by yourself.) I used to have a band, but now I'm all alone... So, I have to trudge along as best as I can.

If there are any musicians in the NYC area who would like to collaborate, please contact me.

I also have some video of me performing with my old band at GBGB. I'm the guy on the right, playing guitar... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6QRbPk8ikbM

That it does, I've been working this on my own for a while and its difficult. But its definately worth the work.

I'm recording some stuff this year too, but in the meantime all I have to upload is some electronic stuff.

I'm inspired by Aphex Twin, Radiohead, NIN, Prodigy etc.

I also used to have a few chaps I was working with, but they kinda fell off the side and gave up, however I've found another drummer that will stick by me.

So until I can afford the quality recording equipment I'm gonna write lyrics and play around with these electro songs. If you wanna hear them go here:

ps - hey everyone :)

First of all real glad to have you back :).

I'm taking a listen to it right now. You had vision in your stuff before, your beats have gotten a lot more complex though - definitely feeling Antiphobia and Blunt especially. I think the best stuff out there though is the stuff where when you listen to it, you can tell that the person who made it knew exactly what they wanted out of the track - just in the spatial particulars, sound choices, etc. Keep up the good work yo.

Too right the best songs are always those when you actually feel what the person is trying to do or what they were feeling/thinking in creating/writing/expressing it. To tell the truth none of them are finished because I've been waiting till I have the good input to add guitars and vocals, though the electronic driven stuff is still a side project to the guitar-driven prog rock sorta one.

Meaning the electronic stuff is kinda me teaching myself how to achieve what I want out of mixing and sound, in order to get exactly what I imagine in the heavier stuff, however it has become a project of its own and though it may not seem like it I've written lyrics and riffs with all the electronic tracks and I feel they're working really well.

You'll notice less melodies because they were designed with this in mind. A friend of mine thinks I should leave them instrumental and how they are, but I have to follow through and see where they turn out, everytime I listen I imagine the lyrics and guitars so I might as well finish it, however its secondary to my main project "Stepstone" which is a rock/metal thing with my brother.

Thanks for the welcome back, how have you been going? Whats new? Whats old?

Just even keel, not much has changed. I'm sure you've noticed this thread's grown exponentially though.

Oh yes I did notice :D

How you feel about getting a site going still? I've met someone that is really good with web design, and I'm thinking of buying a huge chunk of uploading space.

I'm going to have a separate site for my band..

However I was thinking we could get a site going where we can all upload a couple of songs each or something.

Thoughts?

Not sure. I know a lot of people here are using myspace and soundclick, so far that hasn't caused any problems. If you mean throwing down cash to centralize it all as an aspie musicians webpage - not sure, it would have to be a minute as I've been hit with a lot of medical bills recently (long story).

Speaking of myspace, I'm uploading my ambient stuff today, its based on a few dreams I've had, I've been working on it well over a year.

Its composed of guitars, vocals, samples, pretty much everything I could put in, its much more movements and feelings than songs. I'll put up the link here once I finish uploading a few more tracks.

I was thinkin I'll pay for the site space should we wanna get an aspie music thing goin, as I want to set up a really professional one for my band first anyway, I know a guy who will do it for me, though I'll research more first.

I am listening to it right now - the 5:30ish part of '2' is incredible, it feels hugely powerful yet organic in a way that I am usually unable to achieve.

Here is some of the music from my current project, some kind of sunshine metal all done using computers. In fact, I like "sunshine metal". I may call it that from now on, despite the occasional profound classical passage.

Wow, there is a lot of awesome stuff coming out of this wrong planet :D

I'm getting a label going sometime in the next year or so and I will try get us all on there, afterall though I may play metal/prog-rock I'm into almost every style of music, done well, and we seem to have quite high quality output so far, I haven't heard everything yet but I'm going to.

I've finally got the drums worked out (programmed) but the guitar input is still incoming.

I've been mixing for too long but I'm sick of electronic stuff, its just not me, hints of it in every song thanks to what I've learned but the entirely electro stuff is just a side-project.

Keep posting everyone awesome stuff!

Here is a song Im working on. Messing with Glitchy effects cos Im going through an indietronica phase. There is supposed to be vocals and more melody but I thought Id round up a demo before I lose interest (I normally do with most songs).

Song consists of samples from mouse clicks (hence the title) and tapping on tables.

Hope you like it - http://www.box.net/shared/24fif5tusw

Here's where I'm at, I've got 2 tracks in the making right now and I'm really letting em slow-cook. Reason being, I want the production quality to be there - no steps backward. They both have really good melodic ideas I think (one of them especially which will probably be the later of the two that I'll release) and they both need technicals to match the sound; otherwise it almost feels like I'm wasting good ideas in a way.
