I can't find the previous thread for this situation...

I know a lot of will disagree, and I know a lot of you probably hate Green Day, but..

I've listened to the lyrics, and it sounds TO ME like it should be the theme song for Aspies. (Once again, I have my own opinion)

***********************************************************
"I walk a lonely road,
The only road that I have ever known.
Don't know where it goes,
But it's home to me and I walk alone.

(skipping ahead)
I walk alone, I walk alone.
I walk alone, I walk a-

Chorus:
My shadow's the only one that walks beside me.
My shallow heart's the only thing that's beating.
Sometimes I wish someone out there will find me.
Till then I walk alone."

***************************************************************************

The chorus says it all for me. I'm not stereotyping, I'm just going by the fact that aspies are said to hace trouble with their social lives.

I love Green Day and I relate to that song a lot.

I really like like Green Day, but I don't like that song. I prefer the faster, upbeat songs they do.

That is a very provocative szong, and I like it, but I don't see how it can be the theme song for Aspies.

I like the song, see the connection, and might I add it's one of the only popular songs that I can actually hit most of the notes on.

I do not, because how do you know if they are "walking alone" if they do make an effort?

Dislike GreenDay, but this song is one of their one (or two) okay ones. It's not a bad song... and there are probably some aspies who feel like it suits their feelings perfectly, but I don't think it does that for me. :|

We are capable, we are normal people, so why should we be walking the "lonely road?"

I'll like Green Day as soon as the lead singer recovers from his cold.

Well, I don't think he has as much of a cold as he did in the Dookie era ;-)

But seriously, I'm not sure if I agree about "BoBD" being the theme song for Aspies. There's no doubt in my mind that a lot of Aspies (including myself) can relate to it, but I think this song is just generally for anyone who feels depressed and hopeless, like they don't belong. There are certainly plenty of NTs that feel that way, and also some Aspies that don't.

I love Green Day but the Green Day from 5 years ago (it's stupid I know, don't get me to explain it, I just feel they've changed). This song is one of the few exceptions though.

I think once something becomes this popular, it seems to loose my interest. :|
