Forever
(T. Beechey)
Forever exists until memories fade and the shades are drawn and even then
There is no end, it keeps spinning back to the beginning in an infinte bend
Forever remains as a keepsake to make a bed on which dreams may lie
By and by, a solitary thought long forgotten comes from on high

Let us embrace the thought of forever
The cleverest mind could scarcely conceive
The reprieve granted in the glow of forever
So let's never allow its glory to leave

Forever is neither here nor there, it's everywhere and nowhere at all
Yet, somewhere we fall in the middle and, little by little, we begin to dull
Till we all become part of forever, never changing but seldom the same
Name or circumstance doesn't divide us, they're inside us to feed the flame

Let us embrace the thought of forever
The cleverest mind could scarcely conceive
As we receive this blessing of forever
Let nothing sever this bond we've achieved

The flame which burns from deep within, it begins at birth and smolders throughout
There's no wonder about what may happen, there's no gaps in between --- no debt, no doubt
Without a beginning there is no end, only chance to mend what's fallen before
As through the door we quickly pass into the looking glass of nevermore

Let us embrace the thought of forever
The cleverest mind could scarcely conceive
There's no need to grieve in the light of forever
Each endeavor which follows makes us believe

Forever's elusive yet open to all that are hoping when hope seems to fade
In the shade of life or the twilight of being, seeing's believing as foundations are laid
Forever exists in a dream selected from those reflected in sightless eyes
And nothing dies for we're all as one, just as we've begun until spirits rise
