Got her album this week. 'Paris is burning' is a great single but the other tracks just sound quite ordinary to me, I was expecting much more.
Where did you hear/read she has asperger's?

There was an article in the Guardian a few weeks ago - an interview with her where she talked about it.

Here: http://www.guardian.co.uk/music/2008/sep/11/popandrock

I went to see her last night, she was absolutely incredible. Wasn't sure what to expect, but she surpassed my expectations by miles, one of the best I've seen in a long time. And definitely aspergers the way she kinda shuffled on and had her head down and avoided looking at the crowd like mad! She was so little and sweet and friendly.

I love the album though, give it a few listens, it's a real grower (which in my experience tend to be the best records).

She played the guitar and a micro-korg, but she does play about 11 instruments as far as I remember. She had a live band with her - well, a bassist, another guitarist, and a drummer.

11instruments 8O

sometimes it sounds too eighties, but it's slowly growing on me, right now Dusk 'til dawn is my fave (:

It's definitely a grower - I wasn't sure on a few songs at first, but now there's not a single one I don't like and I've had to turn it off thanks to that Aspie tendency towards playing things on repeat for weeks on end and driving flatmates mad! I always find the albums that grow on you tend to be the ones that last the test of time, though, so I'm happy it turned out that way. :D
