I've decided to nominate five musical groups, to see which one of them is the band that most appeals to those with AS.
Having observed other members posts I think a good portion of those on here like these groups, feel free to dispute my claim.

Here's my fav top ten (not in any particular order)
I go to my "zone" listening to them. They are quite, ahem... stim-a-licious

1. Pink Floyd
2. Rush
3. Jethro Tull
4. Queen
5. Yes
6. Jimi Hendrix
7. Talking Heads
8. Peter Gabriel
9. Switchfoot
10. Led Zeppelin

I love music (classical and jazz, too) but these are the ones I seem to play over and over again.

Yeah, well they're all in my top five. Suede I think perhaps might be another contender. I voted The Smiths because of songs like 'How Soon Is Now?' and I enjoy dancing to 'Shelia Take A Bow'.

I went for Joy Division / New Order, who win by a fraction over The Cure. I also like Radiohead - I think they are kind of a successor to the other bands listed. I'm not into The Smiths much, to be honest. My obsession with Industrial (every kind!) wins out over practically everything, though.

I've been meaning to try Talking Heads for a while - now all the albums have just be reissued, can anyone suggest a good one to start with?

Remain in Light, especially the first 5 songs. Produced by Brian Eno. "The Name of this Band is Talking Heads" also has a lot of their best songs in live versions.

'Fear Of Music' is one you'll probable like. I forgot to put Gary Numan, which is annoying as he appeals more to those with AS than The Cure.

For the record, I have AS and I don't like Gary Numan. I also don't like Radiohead, but I do like everything else in that list.
