I write mainly Science Fiction, though I am working on a couple of novels outside of the SF genre. I have several short stories in the works. Currently, none of my characters have Asperger's but I think that's going to change.

Is there anyone interesting in forming a small online critique group. I go to Critters but it's a bit too big for me and I don't get the one-on-one interaction I would like to have with other writers.

In one of the stories I am writing my main character is misunderstood and is an outcast. I have a feeling the story will end up being a bittersweet love story.

One of my novels is set in London, England. I'd like to talk to some friendly Brits out there about what London is like and to get a feel for the city. Unfortunately, I live in the US and probably won;t get to visit London in the near future. I like the English culture and am a fan of British TV shows.

Working on my autobiography (Something like that anyway) about my life, growing up, my persute to become a pro athlete, and a look into domestic cycling. I don't plan on sharing it with anyone, but maybe one day I will decide to if someone was interested.

As for myself, I'd like to write short fiction and maybe eventually a novel. Years ago, I made a lot of abortive attempts at novel-writing. I had no idea how difficult or involved it actualy was. A main problem was that I never knew how I wanted the story to end. Also I found that I was trying to stretch a short-story idea into something novel-length, which was doomed to fail.

I haven't written anything creatively for years. I've been in a slump. :(

I used to be such a good writer, and so prolific!

I'd like to write something like The Dark Tower series, blending Horror, SF, Fantasy, and Suspense. Also, I am a fan of Dean Koontz.

Attempting to write something in a fantasy/steampunk setting with assassins. I can honestly say I had no idea how much work is needed for something novel length. I like what I'v gotten down so far but I don't know how to extend it. So far it just resembles a very long short story (If that makes sense to anyone))

i am not a writer, but i have a few stories i am writing that i can not end.
i will just talk about one of the stories,

i thought of a plot where a very narcissistic man is convinced that his genes are responsible for his brilliance, but everyone else thinks it was "nurture" because he had an ideal childhood. the notion of "nurture" is offensive to the man in my script.

he engineers a situation to have himself cloned 3 times.
he ensures they are born to be adopted by 3 families at different levels of societal status. one child for a rich family, and one for a medium status family, and one for a low income family.
then he goes into a cryogenic suspended animation for 35 years until his cloned kids are the same age as him.
then he comes out of his hibernation and tracks his kids down and meets them.
the result is surprising to him.
they are very dysfunctional, and he is healed of his narcissism because he takes pity on them and tries to help them through their troubles. he learns how he really is through that process.
it will never be finished because i lost interest.

i have another one about 1/2 a teaspoon of curry.

and i have another unfinished story about a psychotically strict prince who is likely to condemn someone to death simply because of a misplaced nostril hair.

i will never finish any of those scripts because they are minor interests, and minor interests die off. major interests stay with me, but writing is not a major interest.

Fantasy/steampunk? Now that's an interesting genre. Go ahead, pitch something to me, a premise from that genre, and I'll see if I can write something.

i didnt see this thread! i allready made one about my writing, the egocentrical bastard that i am :D

just finished my first novel, and ive written lots of short stories.

i prefer a gallows-humored sharp style, very direct and very blunt. i dont like metaphors or symbolism a lot, my stories are very to the point. the only thing that CAN be interpreted as symbolic, could be the things that happen, but i myself dont PUT a lot of symbolism anywhere.

i love writing, but i need inspiration for it, and i can go for months and months without writing a single short story.

I'm writing a book about this girl with magic powers in her eyes who goes to this undiscovered country to look for her friend and his sister who have been missing for 7 years. Along the way she finds out a lot about herself. The girl has problems and the boy has mild special needs. I've kept a notebook to write down my ideas for the book and now I'm typing them up on my laptop. It's looking really good. :D :D

On another forum I am working on a fanfic called "The Many Secrets of Pablo Dolphin." It's a SpongeBob fanfic where a character I made up called "Pablo Dolphin" gets diagnosed with Asperger's Syndrome. Here's the full plot.

Pablo writes a love letter to Sandy as it's nearly Valentine's Day. While trying to deliver it he loses it in the middle of the city, worried that he'll be the laughing stock of the town he searches for it in a panic. After an encounter with SpongeBob and Patrick, (where SpongeBob is discussing the fact that he can't get a date, Patrick is dating Mindy the Mermaid) SpongeBob wonders if there's something wrong with Pablo, as they notice he acts different to everybody else. They go to the psychologist who asks SpongeBob and Patrick to tell about Pablo's past and how he is different. Pablo also recieves help trying to get his love letter back, but the psychologist asks SpongeBob and Patrick if he can see Pablo. When Pablo arrives at the psychologist's, he reveals a long story about his childhood.

Also, Mr. Krabs has a money-making idea. A Valentine's Day Dance!

I have a class assignment to write my personal manifesto. My manifesto has one text and a whole other text weaved into it. The separate text is in bold and in red. Once somebody reads the first text, they could go back and "read in between the lines" and read the text in red. The red text says something totally different. Something much more sinister. My manifesto is being called "reading between the lines of communication" at the moment. Nobody in my class seems to understand me much. This probably won't help but whatever. It is a 3rd year honors college class. I am a returning adult student.

Currently, just internet posts, but a couple of years ago, I wrote a book about my first Siamese, Samantha, and all the pets I have had over the years. I need to revise the book to include my newest cat, C.C.
