Muse is awesome! I saw them at MSG.

I saw Fastball on a boat going around NYC. There were only, like, 30 people there. It was pretty incredible. I saw them again at a little club and it was equally awesome. Can't decide between the two.

Khanate in 2005. I'm glad I got to see them before they broke up.

Either The Legendary Pink Dots in Charlotte, NC, where they encountered what was probably the only stereo PA system on their 1997 US Tour, or watching Nick Turner's Space Ritual implode on stage when their 1995 Charlotte, NC show turned into a disaster due to the fact that Simon House (who was supposed to join them that night) got PNG'ed at the airport INS checkpoint due to a mid 70's drug bust, and Del Dettmar's keyboards ( He joined up with them the previous night) getting destroyed by the shipping company.

I saw Jethro Tull on their 40th anniversary tour at the Perth Concert Hall. Because it was held in a concert hall there was none of the pushing or jostling that go on in outdoors concerts or standing venues. Because it was Jethro Tull it was awesome.

I have seen so many great shows... Literally hundreds, if not over 1,000! Dating back to... dare I say... 1970! First major rock concert concert ever? Elton John at the Greek Theatre in Hollywood. First Grateful Dead show (Saw them a few hundred times.)... 11-20-71.

But the best show? Ever? Out of ALL of them? If I had to pick ONE...

...it would be this one.

Genesis with Peter Gabriel at the Shrine Auditorium performing The Lamb Lies Down on Broadway.

For me, it's Weird Al Yankovic hands down. The guy is a real showman on stage and there's never a dull moment.

I don't remember what the tour was called, but it had these bands
Lamb of God
Slayer
Children of Bodom
Mastodon
Some random sh***y metal band.
I wasn't expecting much out of that concert, but it kicked ass.

Oingo Boingo, Sept 23rd 1994 at the Metro in Chicago. As it turns out that would be the last chance I could have had to see them since they broke up the following year.

The US Festival (New Wave Day) near San Bernardino, CA. in 1983. It was in the days before all the hippy jam band concerts like Bonaroo and Coachella. In the more innocent days! 8)

Here's the line-up:

Divinyls
INXS
Wall of Voodoo
Oingo Boingo
The English Beat
A Flock of Seagulls (Nap time!)
Stray Cats
Men at Work
The Clash

Also:
The Who opened by the Clash 1982 - Oakland Colliseum
Pink Floyd - Momentary Lapse of Reason (Sans Roger Waters)
The Police - Ghost in the Machine Tour - Oakland Colliseum
The Cult - Santa Cruz Civic Center
Journey - Cow Palace (Journey's totally "gay" now but it was my first rock concert)

RIP Joe Strummer and Michael Hutchence

The Three Tenors at the Forbidden City in Beijing. I'm not really an opera fan, as such, so it was the combination of seeing three musical greats in such an atmospheric setting.

And I think it was V2000, when Travis started 'Why does it always rain on me?' and it started raining. It was just perfect timing!

...In fond memory  , it might be the Buzzcocks , seen at the now-gone Palladium Theater in New York City ( The Fall and an Australian band called the Sports opened . ) , about 1979 IIRC :D .
