Everyone's going nutty over here about the Arctic Monkeys. Have you heard them yet?

I've downloaded a few songs by The Arctic Monkeys. They're good! I like the song, 'Fake Tales of San Francisco'.

Wow, I love Muse, been a fan of them for years, they are one of my favourite bands ever. I've seen them live in concert and they are truly amazing.

I saw them at the reading festival a few years ago. I didn't really have much of a choice it was either them or Oasis, poor mans radiohead IMO.

But saying that radiohead utterly suck now if they want to sound like the 90's era of swans they should of just quit after OK computer

The British exceed all expectations with there music. They are the only people who know how to rock the hardest and with the best flow of the guitar and the vocals of a bird or the voice of a devil the British can do it better than any other country in the world and have made the revolutionary bands such as the Sex Pistols, The Beatles (never really got why that got so big but just putting them there for comfort), Iron Maiden who created a new type of music that has never been herd before and many more to come. The British made the bands that we put our souls into today. (didn't expect it to be that long)

I've heard of at least 95% of the artists mentioned above, heard the music of at least 80%, and like nearly all of what I've heard.

And would like to add:

Yes (and the solo work of Rick Wakeman)
Genesis (and the solo work of Peter Gabriel, Steve Hackett and Anthony Phillips)
The Strawbs
Alison Moyet
Jethro Tull
The Move
Marianne Faithfull
Roxy Music
Alan Parsons Project

 That's because I don't consider his solo work to be rock. More like being trapped in an elevator with a psychotic accountant. He's a damned fine drummer, but if I'm in the mood for an old Supremes song I'm going to listen to the Supremes rather than Phil.

FWIW, I'm not overwhelmed with the solo work of Tony Banks and Mike Rutherford either. Mike and the Mechanics were okay but not memorable, and Tony's first solo album A Curious Feeling destroyed 98% of the respect I had for him.

Franz Ferdinand, although you might call it pop or alternative (I saw it classified somewhere as Dance Punk, haha).
I really love the way Brits talk. That's one of the reasons I listen to their music (apart from a million other reasons).
