Hate to rain on your parade, but most songs sound rather ridiculous when the lyrics are read aloud with out the music.

Chris Walken's performance was so-so.

Dance music rarely has lyrics to rival dylan.
And who dances to Dylan anyway?

If you read the Lyrics of KC and the Sunshine band outloud youll sound alot funnier than chis walken does in this video : " shake shake shake, shake shake shake, shake your booty, shake your booty, shakeX 3, shake X3...."

Ofcourse the ulimate was Will Farrell, in Talledaga Nights, reciting the words to "My Humps". But that was shooting fish in a barrel. The Black Eyed Peas already sound laughable when they sing it.

If dance music lyrics sound stupid when read, why add them to the music at all? If vocals are being added as "instruments", perhaps it would be better to use nonsense words, or random words from other languages.
