I just love testament, they pretty much got me into metal. I used to think Bullet for my Valentine was awesome, until I listened to The Gathering album. I'm not gonna lie, at first my reaction was a cross between awe and slight intimidation. I think it was the whole different atmosphere present in their music that I never thought could be so awesome. Not to mention freakin Godzilla on vocals... :twisted:

for thrash metal, I prefer my anthrax and slayer. Testament is alright though.

Even though Iron maiden 'could' be considered thrash, I more or less think of them as one of the first speed/power metal bands. They have been more proggy though lately

My favorite thrash band is also Overkill, as my username indicates.

I used to be a big Testament fan, but their latest album was a real letdown for me.

"Low" is my favorite Testament's album, "The New Order" is cool too. Other albums get a bit too repetitive for me.

i used to listen to them in high school...even saw them in concert with Judas Priest and Megadeth.....my music tastes have changed somewhat....but wouldn't object to hearing them now

also used to listen to Overkill,Slayer,Death,D.R.I.,Anthrax,S.O.D., and many others...

Have you ever heard "Legions of the Dead" off of the Gathering? It's probably the song that warmed me up to death metal. Even though Testament's mostly thrash metal...furthermore, there has never been a better combination than one of this song and Resident Evil!! :twisted:

I like the song Roots Bloddy Roots from Sepultura. They incorporated some elements from traditional Brazilian music to metal in the album Roots.
