So, I'm a cook who hates cooking, connoisseur, and all around foodie, and was wondering who else here is like me. Also, anyone else run a food blog, I'm looking for more people I can connect with through blogs (I use blogspot because I like keeping everything on one account which google makes easy). Anyways, who else enjoys the art of food?

My most recent adventure into food includes discovering the idea of DIY snack mixes. Basicly, get a bunch of dried goods that don't go bad easily, and throw them together in a way that's interesting and to your tastes. Cost me $5 for a mix that will last me like 3 weeks at least. Best part of the idea, I can go and add more things to it, mix it up, replaces things as needed, etc.

Had an idea for an orange crepe dessert I am going to make sometime... Soooo many food things I want to do... Its definately the best tasting art, unless you're one of the people with synesthesia (and I can't figure out how to spell that...) who blend taste with some aspect of vision. (I can taste most things I see without even putting them in my mouth, but I don't think its the same idea...)

Anyways if people are interested, my blog is in my signature, and if you have a food blog, I'd love to see it!

I once made a giant bin (yes, storage bin) of snack mix for a superbowl party . . . and since it was my party, the full list of attendees consisted of myself, my boyfriend, and our coworker.

I like cooking but need people to eat what I make; that's my difficulty.

LOL

I have the same problem... Although, the people I'm living with now, well they'd probably love someone to cook for them XD

I can cook some basic stuff, if absolutely necessary. I made the best camp french toast my BSA troop ever had. But I really need to expand my culinary horizons, as I am in college and need to lose weight.

I'm looking to learn curry at some point, not something im familiar with, but I know it should be able to make an interesting iced cream. I want to get good enough with curry that I know it like I know some of my better foods, and then I want to focus on dessert curries. Desserts have always been my best dishes after all...
