I was just thinking, if I die I don't want a funeral without good music.

Haven't thought about this for years (think middle school). Think think think.

Forgotten (Lost Angels) - Lamb of God
A Tout Le Monde - Megadeth
Walk With Me In Hell - Lamb of God

A lot more metal too lol.

From "The Pipes & Drums of the 48th Highlanders", I have selected "The Day Thou Gavest", Going Home" and "Amazing Grace" ... but the number of people there to hear it will likely be somewhat dependent upon the weather that day.

omg i just came on to post the exact same video.
although it bugs me that it says the lyrics are 'far away from here' instead of 'fly away from here' which is what makes the song so beautiful for me

I do that with songs as well - and once I see what the lyrics are, what I hear still takes precedence.

The song "Finally" by Fergi also sounds like it should be;
"Finally my makers met my soul"
opposed to
"Finally my mate has met my soul"
It sounds like it makes more sense that way, Oh well

I would want those to be played at my funeral.

That's a classic. But really, I think I'll let my family 'n' friends decide. It is, to be honest, their funeral, and not mine, as I won't be around to see it.

I only think of the cliche "Good-bye" types of songs when I think of this type of situation so here goes:

My Chemical Romance - "Helena (So Long and Good Night)"
Green Day - "Wake Me Up When September Ends"
Avril Lavigne - "Slipped Away"
Green Day - "Good Riddance (Time of Your Life)"
The All-American Rejects - "It Ends Tonight"
Daniel Powter - "Bad Day"

I'm probably forgetting some, but these are just what comes to the top of my head in this situation.

Also known as "that song from Granny's Garden." :)

Well, it's that or Soho Square.
