I would think that dubstep repulses aspies beacuse its so random sounding...i was at first but its like organized randomness if that makes sense and I gradually got into it after my friend put it on at a party.
anyone else into dubstep?

heres two of my favorites right now, i cant get enough of it, the bass and depth envelops me and sends me into another world. its a great way to lose yourself and immerse yourself.

I don't like most dubstep. Just sounds like the song got messed up and had some other tune thrown on top of it.

I tried many times to listen to dubstep but I always closed it after a few minuites. It's the worst kind of music ever.

Lol i just laughed when i saw you make another topic about music i like.
I recently went to a dnb & dubstep party for the second time and im loving it, even sober.
The people who attend these parties are just so relaxed and accepting, I really feel at home there.
Unlike the general public that you see when going out, where i feel this hostile attitude and superficial bull... a lot.

The way you dance doesn't matter at all, as long as you're having fun.

although this is more dnb ill still put it here because dubstep and dnb pretty much go hand in hand for me.

mt eden is pretty nice

haha I expected most Aspies to just HATE dubstep glad to see im not alone in liking it.

Yeah ive noticed that too (the type of ppl who are into it). I think the are that way because like us they are somehow a little 'different' and wish to congregate with other 'different' people regardless of what kind of 'different' they are. The dancing is liberating too, all you have to do is feel the flow and you are dancing correctly.

Thanks for the links, Mt Eden is aight but I like Rusko (mainstream I know) and, datsik, benga.
"I dont Smoke" is pretty good, ill put that on my ipod today

Benga is EPIC... saw him live at ultrafest and he killed it. Search for these on youtube: Mini moto, blackout, bring the noise, little bits, stop watchin'

This is the only dubstep track I've heard that I like, but its freaking massive... a little dull at first but when the bass kicks in around 1:22 - bliss...

I generally listen to alternative rock - radiohead, the mars volta, qotsa, etc but i absolutely LOVE dubstep. I think it's music that is best heard when u don't want to think too much. don't quote me on names of artists - that's the whole point for me - i don't want to know about the genre in great depth, i just wanna hear it and not know what's coming next

Dubstep is pretty awesome. My ex was a raver and he had a few friends who were into the stuff...I always loved when they played it at clubs and house parties.,,and I still love it! What I find annoying is drum and bass...it's too fast for me and I like a smooth, slow, steady vibe.

Some of my favourites: the first one will always be my all-time favourite. I've seen Zed's Dead spin a few times at the events I used to go to. :)

I like it.

I have two compilations, "The Roots of Dubstep" and Ministry of Sound's "The Sound of Dubstep", plus the Skream album.

The only thing that stops me from buying more is that mnost of the early stuff is vinyl only and I don't have a record-player anymore. I know Asp-Z said it sounded as if the song got f****d up and had another one superimposed on top of it, but that disorienting not-quite-rightness is exactly what I liked about it. I liked drum'n'bass for the same reason, before it started becoming slower and blander circa 1996 or so.

I've also been to a few dubstep nights - they all seem to have a friendly atmosphere, but you definitely need earplugs, as the volume is easily as ear-slpitting as any metal gig.

The best part about Dubstep is the people. Any person, restaurant, movie or music genre or whatever can be evaluated by its followers. The old saying in the food industry is "Restaurants get the customers they deserve" or something. So if most people that listen to dubstep are pretty cool...then dubstep is pretty cool. I like dubstep. Raves are great. I'm going to one tomorrow night.

I absolutely love dubstep, and don't understand why so many people despise it.
To me it sounds like music of the future. It pumps me up.
As I was younger, I was always attracted to 90's euro pop and dance/techno like Prodigy and Aphex Twin.
I later got into metal and polyrhythmic prog music, like Tool and Meshuggah.
Dubstep to me adds a bit of all of that into one glorious neurotica euphoric of music.

Some of my favorites:
Slugabed - Quantum Leap
Bar 9 - Midnight
Borgore- Love
Excision - Get To The Point
Cookie Monsta - R0807 D06
Distance - Headstrung
DatsiK - Want Some More
Slugabed - Help I've Fallen Down a Well
Nero - Electron (DNB but still holy **** awesome)

SO many more. I was posting links, but apparently I'm not allowed to. booo.

I love Dubstep, especially older stuff like Skream's first album, Burial, Kode 9, Benga, Mala etc. I got into it 4 or 5 years ago when i was 16.
Listening to dubstep makes me feel like i'm alive!

I listen to a lot of metal, punk and alternative music (mainly) but i've always loved reggae, drum n bass, breakbeats, old rave music etc... so instantly i fell in love with the genre!
