I've always thought that the soft rock of the '70s had a relaxing charm about it. These are the kinds of songs I'd like to have playing while I'm at a bar or restaurant at night while socializing with friends. I think I'd even like some of these songs to be played at my funeral.

I love Dancin' in the Moonlight. I went to high school in the 70's so I probably could think of more but I'm off to a St. Datrick's Day parade w/ my son.

i liked maria muldaur's 2 early 70s albums [the first one was "waitress in a donut shop" and i can't remember the 2nd one but it had "midnight at the oasis" on it].
"briefcase full of blues" was a killer album, as was supertramp's "breakfast in america" and alan parson's "i-robot."
