trumpet, percussion, and singing, unfortunately these are all quite loud

have a husband that doesn't complain about it,
neighbours do not seem to worry about the trumpet or the singing (in my garden i sometimes sing operalike (or anything also muppetlike, or rock, or noises, or ...) and probably the whole village hears this but no-one ever came to complain- it's a small village where everyone knows eachother)but they can't stand the percussion though (or one old sensitive man can't)

I have played the guitar for five years on and off. For the last year i've played it religiously, practising anywhere from 2-12 hours a day.

If anyone wants to check out my music, visit: http://www11.nrk.no/urort/user/?id=55818

It's a Norwegian page. To listen, click "Lytt" beneath the song you wish to listen to or "Last Ned" If you want to download it.
Be aware though, that the stuff I've uploaded is everything from two years to a week old.
I'd like to hear your opinions :)

This was a very helpful thread for me to remember some things that involved my interest in music and playing instruments.

Since I'm actually 36 years old some memories just popped back when seeing the thread name.

I've been a lousy piano player, managed to play standard block flute, went to music classes, got fond of a regional flute called "Spilåpipa" so I have one hand made such costing $$$ which I play on because it's not following normal tone system. Like the indian Sitar or japanese whatever it's called string instrument. On those instruments, I STILL have problem reading notes. But have a perfect ear to +/- 1hz tell tone frequency.

On computer generated, enhanced and programmed music, as well as coding visual art on a computer with a processor where your washing machine get higher rating I have this confession to make;

Sorry guys, I could have leaved three different nicks tunes in the demo compos for four channel mods. And get the cash for 1-2-3. You know you who was beaten that you always had a place to sleep and food... And it was a rightful public vote for the tunes when I had to do that trick. Some of my best friends said, I wasn't fooling or busting anybody, it was just a fair public vote.

Today I'm thinking of starting composing music again, I don't have more than a couple of computers and has a extremely varied musical taste influence. Bach, Beethove, Black Sabbath, Depeche, Kraftwerk, Metallica and a list that would be too long to follow.

Those who remember the early days of showing off in computer coding remembers that we sometimes was extremely geeks with no social interaction with other people. Since I was working in a local computer store meeting all these geeks (now friends), and having to handle them from learning, tipping of tricks, game cheats, spare parts, well whatever, We formed a community of friendship still active.

We 0wn2 social security among us.

I play viola, it's like a violin but it has lower notes and it's bigger. It's an instrument between a violin and a cello just in case if you don't know what it is. I've played it for around 5 years and I like it. :D

I play the flute and I also own a keyboard. I can sing but i find it quite frustrating as I have an alto voice which is much better for choirs.

Are there many alto singers when it comes to classically trained voices?

I have played the oboe for 16 years or so. It is a really hard instrument to play.

I play piano/keyboard and guitar. I also played the saxophone in middle school but haven't played it in a long time.
