When I used to listen to metal, it was Lamb of God, Kilswitch Engage, Sworn Enemy, Cradle of Filth and many others (I recognize some of the ones thewril has posted, as they were popular during my high school years, 6-8 years ago.)

The only ones I'll still occasionally listen to are mastadon, Anthrax, kilswitch engage, meshuggah, Slayer, deftones, and hatebreed.

There are two types of "metal" I can't stand under any circumstance: metalcore (deathcore etc. included) and new Metallica.

No offense to some other posters, but Bring Me the Horizon are absolutely terrible. And i can't stand deathcore and most metalcore either. But to each his own.

I also like metal!! Gold and Steel, especially. Silver is also not bad.
