Which band do you think best communicates the aspie way of life and thinking?

For me it's the Blue Man Group. They focus on the outsider theme and following your bliss. They live how they want to, just like aspies and they're outsiders. Just listen to "Up To The Roof" or "Sing Along"

overall....altho there are heaps that are worthy mentions...if i had to pick a single one....prolly the beatles...(cept for paul i think the others were all aspies too ;))

take strawberry fields for example:

'No one, I think, is in my tree
I mean, it must be high or low
That is, you cant, you know, tune in, but its alright
That is, I think its not too bad'

Pink Floyd, Radiohead, the Beatles, the Vines. I can't think of anymore.

Definately agree with the beatles and Radiohead. I also think that regurgitator and rob dougan have lots of songs that have a very AS feel too them.

Lots of other artists have great one off songs that I can relate too as well.

Dune - Million miles is awesome.

I was sent to outer space
To find another happy place
Now I'm left here all alone
Million miles away from home
Floating through the galaxy
All the stars in front of me
Now I'm left here all alone
Million miles away from home
Million miles away... (8x)

ps:- Will have too get some blue man group and find a copy of a floyd cd haven't really listened too much of those two before.

Ozzy Osbourne or Goo Goo Dolls, I've found (even if THEY aren't, their lyrics could be)

I suppose Syd Barrett was Aspic. Possibly schizo, but wildly imaginative and always mixing children's things with blurred drug references. The first two Pink Floyd albums have some of his material, but you really have to listen to his later albums to really appreciate how unique the man was.

Radiohead, definitely.

i'm walking out in a force ten gale
birds thrown around, bullets for hail
the roof is pulling off by its fingernails
your voice is rattlin’ on my window sill
yesterday's headlines blown by the wind
yesterday's people end up scatterbrain
any fool can easy pick a hole i only wish i could fall in
a moving target in a firing range
somewhere i'm not
scatterbrain
somewhere i'm not
scatterbrain
lightning fuse, powercut
scatterbrain

I think the Vines. Songs like 'Country Yard' and 'Autumn Shade II' are Aspie-ish, IMO.

I'd say Korn. Lots of songs about childhood gone wrong, isolation, people calling you freak, anger, etc. Used to love them when I was in grade 8-9
