I don't know if I'd call this musical composition psychedelic, but it is kind of... I don't know... a really detached feeling. A Silver Mt. Zion is music you can kind of zone out to when you're really depressed and everything is bleak as can be.

More post-rock in a similar vein, though not quite so dismal...

More recent stuff. This guy is good. It's more like folk/cabaret/rock but dreamy/trippy.

I find it awesome that 13th floor elevators and Strawberry Alarm Clock have made it onto this thread.

Blue Velvet Blues is one of my favourite Acid Mother's Temple tracks. It really reminds me a lot of Fushitsusha.

Awesome I've never heard Strawberry Alarm Clock until now. 13th Floor Elevators are tainted for me due to craaaaazzzzzzzzzyyyyyy times at a good friends old house that seemed to be a never ending acid, weed, booze and whatever else fueled chaos machine.

Call me a heretic if you will, but I do prefer Rocky Erickson & the Aliens over 13th Floor Elevators...

Bloody Hammer just gives me the chills, every time. Especially when he's calling out the doctor who electroshocked him in the asylum, calling him out by name over and over and over.

I like Pink Floyd, Tool and The Beatles.

"In An Aeroplane Over The Sea" by Neutral Milk Hotel, "Torch Of The Mystics" by Sun City Girls, Pink Floyd's "Piper At The Gates Of Dawn", "Saucerful Of Secrets" and "Tago Mago" by CAN are also great psychedelic albums! so is Charanjit Singh's "Ten Ragas To A Disco Beat" (a precursor to House music- google it, it will blow your mind!) I love acid house, Old School Jungle, trance, IDM and Dubstep. most dance music has some element of psychedelia.

Also Ennio Morricone's Spaghetti Western soundtracks are pretty trippy!

Sun City Girls are phenomenal.
Tago Mago is one of those rare perfect albums.
