Youtube or it doesn't exist.
Psh, SoundCloud all the way!! ! You don't have to worry about making a picture video to match the MP3
Also, Welcome to WrongPlanet
I can kinda relate to the whole not recording for some reason. IT takes a while to get used to, but as AngelRho said, once you overcome it, you'd be surprised at what you can do
Im sorry, I guess i just have a fear of criticism
I'm probably the harshest critic on WP. But that just comes from two decades of classical study, including a teaching degree and master's in composition. So a lot of what I have to say is just me getting wound up over something I like.
What I try to be, and what I hope others here also try to be, is helpful. Criticism isn't always about how bad you suck...in fact, it shouldn't ever be. It should be about what you can do to improve. And not everyone here is exactly what we'd call a "serious musician." Most of us are into music as something fun and a creative outlet, not because we're trying for the Grammies. You'll find most of us here are more encouraging than negative.
Incidentally, I have to disagree on SoundCloud. I put stuff on SoundCloud sometimes, but there is a time limit on what you can do. Most of the time my SoundCloud stuff is just temporary. Combining mp3 or wav to video can be a little tricky, but all you have to do is take a still graphic and set the timer on your movie 'ware for the song length, then just drop the mp3/wav/etc. into the audio track. Or you can figure out how to record yourself playing with a webcam and internal mic, which seems to be what most people do.
