And many others.. mostly all by the same band.

Maybe the only good side to having autism, I get to be obsessed with something awesome.

I've been listening to this on repeat for the past day or so. The original version is in Japanese but I like the English version better because I can understand it (kinda) and it gives me goosebumps.

This song is based on the idea that the cartoon show Rugrats was all a figment of the character Angelica's imagination. The full details can be read here: http://creepypasta.wikia.com/wiki/The_Rugrats_Theory Some of it actually makes sense, some of it is grasping at straws.

But my obsession with this song actually has nothing to do with Rugrats. The reason I'm obsessed with it is because it reminds me of myself and my imaginary world, just replace the names of the characters with the names of me and my imaginary friends. My favorite line: "Who am I again? A princess or psychopath?" I'm royalty in my imaginary world, but in the real world I'm mentally and emotionally unstable.

At the momment, Smile Empty Soul's "Who I Am"

Another night again
Another journey without friends
Another fight to wish away the loneliness I live

Another circus show
Another face that I don’t know
Another night of people asking what I have to give

I thought that I would drown
But it’s OK right now

[Chorus:]
No one knows the way I feel a part of me I have to fight
Buried somewhere deep beneath my skin
The emptiness in me is faded
And I can see my life is waiting
Now I know I’m living for who I am [2x]

The fire grows inside
The feeling cannot be denied
when everywhere I turn there's signs because they push me

And all has fallen down
But it’s OK right now

[Chorus:]
No one knows the way I feel a part of me I have to fight
Buried somewhere deep beneath my skin
The emptiness in me is faded
And I can see my life is waiting
Now I know I’m living for who I am

And everything seems great and everyone is fake
No one really knows you
Look into their eyes
Rip off your disguise
Let them see the real you

[Chorus:]
No one knows the way I feel a part of me I have to fight
Buried somewhere deep beneath my skin
The emptiness in me is faded
And I can see my life is waiting
Now I know I’m living for who I am [2x]
when everywhere I turn there's signs because they push me

I like it too, but I don't like the video. I remember seeing it when I was young and not liking what happened in it.

Anyway, I seem to have become obsessed with the song "One Way Or Another" by Blondie.

Allied Vision's "Confession of dementia"

I am utterly obsessed with it. Have been for over ten years. It's perfect heavy electronic feel, cinematic atmosphere and inhuman vocals take me into this nightmarish gothic futuristic world dominated by machines. Massive influence on me.

Godflesh's "Like Rats"

Godflesh are weird, when I first heard the streetcleaner album it did nothing for me. Yet, I kept coming back...again and again and again, until every discordant guitar sound, drum machine beat and mechanical bassline pluck got into my head and became one of the catchiest things ever for me. This sone was the one I seem to hum nearly every day.

The Doctor Who Theme Tune (Original and 80's versions)

Delia Derbyshire was a genius. That classic bassline that must of inspired so many industrial and electronic bands over the past 50 odd years or so. The alien atmosphere and my yog it is SO catchy. Perfection.

Front Line Assembly - "Prophecy", "Plasticity", "Mental Distortion"

I wrote an entire science fiction mythology to "prophecy". It is the most perfect sci-fi apocalypse song ive ever heard. Those choirs, those samples, those armageddon-like lyrics. The intensity and feeling behind it. "Plasticity" Is like everything awesome about dance music - then amplified to max, it's the one and only good thing that came out of the movie "Time Cop", iv never heard a more intense dance track than this. "Mental Distortion" on the other hand is minimalism to perfection, those catchy bass riffs, mechanical drum samples that are so well timed, the perfectly distorted caustic vocals...ahhhh yes.

Those are my song obsessions. I shall sleep now. Yes.

I've been listening to 'Not Now John' by Pink Floyd.

I downloaded 'The Final Cut,' and I have to say I was very disappointed considering the standards previously set by Roger Waters and Pink Floyd. The above song, which I happen to like a lot, is the only one I kept from it.

Obsessed because I'm reading the novelization version of Mobile Suit Gundam and imagine this playing now whenever Char shows up. Love the silly sounding "CHAR CHAR CHAR" chant and the retro 1970s instruments.
