Black Cat
I drew this up today. I thought it was going to be hard to draw at first, but it got easier for me the more I practiced. I also drew it a shadow for effect.

How do you get your pictures inhere. I cant even make it with imageshack

Upload it to a photo hosting website like photobucket, copy the image url, paste it in here, and type [img](image%20url)[/img].

You could also bother a moderator and ask them to help you out, but I wouldn't recommend that.

I've had people from Pixar, DreamWorks, and BlueSky take a look and give advice on it, so I'm pretty excited.

Although it won't be fully explained in the final short, it takes place in a universe where peoples left brains are controlled by robots, and right brains are controlled by wizards. However, since the protagonist has Aspergers, his right brain guy never had magical powers, so the robot had to help him build machines that emulated the effects of magic. Even if the symbolism totally flies over everyone's head, I'm hoping the bromance will be touching enough at the surface level

Cherry Blossom
For some reason, I seem to enjoy drawing flowers better than anything else. They are easy to draw and you can have fun with the colors, like I did with this cherry blossom I drew today.

The orchid is whittled into poplar, the rest of the box is oak.

I love the flower inscribed onto that chest, Titangeek!


Melancholy
My OC Neith may be a princess from ancient Nubia, but I've decided that, despite being born into wealth and royal status, she's a very insecure and morose person. Lately I've suffered from recurring bouts of depression and stress, so I thought I would rub that part of me off onto my character. After coloring this with my Prismacolor pencils, I went over the colors with a blender in order to smooth them out.

BrandonSP, why don´t you try mixed media? You are heading in that direction anyway.
I don´t know Prisma Color. Are they greasy, wax based or water soluble?
You could start in the bottom with a non grease color, like watercolor or dry color pencil, and the work it over with a heavier colorstick with blender and all. It is magic.
Start vith the shadowy parts in the first layer, local color over shadows and lighter parts in the next and end up with highlights and reflexes in a opaque layer as last finish.

Buttercup

I "built up" this beautiful buttercup tonight. It took me some time to draw the petals, though.

An Egyptian Pharaoh sits on her throne while one of her armed bodyguards watches from the background. This was probably the most laborious piece of artwork that I've had to draw and color in for weeks, but I'm glad I managed to get it down at last.
