Hey guys, I have an idea for a book and wanted some opinions on the basics.

Okay, we have a boy who was born with a really unusual appearance and has a scar on his face from a scary incident. He's really strong, but here's the thing, he was found on another planet and can't speak Earth languages. He is discriminated against, but has people help him feel less like his appearance is a bad thing.

hmm. Thats a tough one. Maybe his scar could be connected with hidden memories?

What year does the story take place?
How did we get to the other planet?
Where is the other planet?
Wouldn't he automatically have an unusual appearance if he's from another planet?
Why is he being discriminated against? Does he go to regular school?
Are there others like him on earth?
Strong as in Pippi Longstocking strong or Superman strong?
If he's the only one from his planet, wouldn't he be kept in a government institution for constant surveillance just in case he has viruses or bacteria we can't cure?
How old is he?
Does he eat regular food?
Is this book to be a children's book, science fiction or fantasy?
Why is the scar on his face from a scary accident important for us to know?
Does he have enemies?
What does he want in life?
How do earthlings understand him?
What does he look like? Is he humanoid?

The scar is linked to a traumatic incident he must face.

@robin

It takes place in another universe.

He looks partly human, partly not (long story).

Able to move 40 tons at maximum.

Sci-fi/fantasy hybrid.

If the story takes place in another universe, why does he need to speak Earth languages?

Do you have answers to the other questions I asked?

The reason I'm wondering is, in order to tell a realistic story, you must have as much details about the characters, especially the main ones, as possible.

Okay. That's fine. It's just that it's a little hard to give you feedback if we don't know what to give you feedback on.
