Still learning. Even though my Ma was an amazing professional artist/instructor and I was raise immersed in fine art all my life, I just suddenly evolved from my own zoology obsession to creating visual artwork a couple years. It was very unexpected. I guess you'd call my style eclectic-newbie. So many artists have a true style that they are known for. I am not sure if I am like a kid in a candy store because I am still experimenting with different techniques and styles, or if I am just cursed to never have any style. (ha ha)

Wonderful work. I admire your ability to sketch like that. It's something I only did a little in art school as my focus was graphic design, Well done! - Nola

Thank you very much, I appreciate the kind words! I'd actually been feeling pretty rotten lately, and decided that I needed to do something for ME for a change. Giving myself a project to focus on really helped to keep some of those nasty, depressed thoughts from creeping back in.

This is a watercolor of Neuschwanstein Castle. It is about 16x16 in and took about 80 hrs to complete. You might not be able to see it with a cell phone photo, but I drew in the individual bricks.

I visited the APES Caves in Washington yesterday, and I really enjoyed it. This was literally how dark it was, and that's with a flashlight on.

It was a fun little adventure. :D

Thank you. I dont think it is done yet. I want to fill it up with simple relief carving too. I could do more to the owl, but I like it smooth for some reason, so I stopped there.

State fair winner :D . Got a reserve champion award at a county fair too. That was fun anxiety. I'm all done winning for the year. Now I make new. I'm really going to like using this reading lamp :D .
