Just finished 'Montrose' & 'The Black Dwarf' by Walter Scott - Just starting 'The Heart of Midlothian'

I wasn't going to read all 25 volumes back to back but I'm up to volume 7 and can't see myself stopping anytime soon!

protect and defend by richard north patterson, a thoughtful and compassionate look at all sides of the abortion debate, told as one young girl's compelling story, with personal looks into the lives of politicians all the way up to the fictional president.

Tehanu, Book Four of the Earthsea Cycle [involves dragons and philosophy, among other things], and The Neverending Story [wonderful, wonderful book that evokes Joseph Campbell's 'Hero's Journey' mythos to the letter--did I just make a pun?]

Horns.

Ignatius Perrish - who everyone believes had raped and murdered his own girlfriend a year before - wakes up after a night of hard drinking to discover that he is growing horns out of his forehead. And to make matters worse, people are revealing their darkest secrets to him. I already want to see the movie, it's grabbed me and pulled me in already, so thoroughly.

The Green Man by Michael Bedard. A wonderful book about poetry, mystery, and a love of books.
