That's actually the most recent hip-hop album I have right now. It is a true masterpiece.

I have been listening to Coming Home by Leon Bridges repeatedly. Also I am listening to Grimes' new album Art Angels as I type this.

It's tough to just keep myself in love with brand spankin' new stuff - some of it's okay, some of it's pretty mediocre and I find myself going back for a lot of stuff anywhere from two or three years old some time back to ten or fifteen years - sometimes farther.

Just downloaded Absys Mystical Deep 2 - liked the first one and after enough listens on Youtube I figured I should just get it, burn it, throw it in my car.

Silkie - City Limits 2 - same as above - hesitated on it for a while, decided to get it finally just a week or so ago.

Zero T - Golden Section - very smooth dnb on Dispatch Records. Kinda reminds me of what Lenzman was doing with Looking At The Stars but off a slightly different trajectory.

Still keeping my eyes open for fresh compilations - Critical, Metalheadz, Exit, Absys, any of those could make me quite happy if they get something popping this year. I still listen to Metalheadz Platinum Breakz 4 although I'm going to admit, I don't think it's possible for them to top the 1996 Platinum Breakz I - it was utterly iconic for its time, as fresh as well as introspective and forward-thinking as an album can get, too much ground has been covered since then and too many other good labels to compete with.

i've been listening to hatful of hollow a lot lately, its a compilation album of The Smiths. Includes most of their classics but better versions imo, subtle differences but i prefer them. Check out this version of Still Ill
