I heard this at work on the crappy speaker systems that stores often have. Unless you are directly under the speaker you can't hear the lyrics right. I actually thought this was Micheal Jackson during the chorus and I thought one of the chorus verses said "you look beautiful tonight". I always thought I could hear the word "universe" (which I was right about in the end). So I googled that line and I get tons of references to some Eric Clapton song and could never find a MJ song with that line. Anyways I finally lucked out and was under the speaker on my day off with phone whipped out for taking notes. Nailed it!
Speaking of lyrics, they are not long term memory friendly on crappy speakers while you are busy unless you hear the song a lot. Then you subcounciously remember the lyrics (yeah like they are some subliminal message) and they start to creep into your conscious mind.

I've tried everything to get this out of my head. I've listened to the songs here, I've listened to this one repeatedly to try to make it go away, I've listened to my own playlists. Friday as I was pulling into the parking lot I bumped the radio preset button nearest the gearshift. And THIS crept into my head in less than 7 words of lyrics before I could turn off the key 'cause I never lose at "name that tune".
It was a bad song then. It's a bad song now. And it won't go away...

Pink Maggit by Deftones. Can't get enough of it. Got White Pony just over a week ago (my first Deftones album). My favourite track is Passenger (Maynard + Chino ftw), but I can't stop listening to Pink Maggit lately.
