This is neat timing, because Kraftie just quoted this (below) on another thread - very different feeling, but from the same time period when Tull was starting out. I went and found it :-)

I know a guy who's a Jethro Tull fanatic. He's pissed that they are continually passed over for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

I think it's because they're "too literate," and have more of a "cult" following.

There is a strong current of anti-intellectualism in mainstream rock.

@2:55 comes my favorite part~ <3 I used to listen to these tracks when I was younger. Helped me to realize that I had a special connection with Shadow.

Lilly Allen-fuck you. Uhh I just love her sarcastic style of pop music. Just listen to her song about her brother smoking weed...and yet he plays Theon(maybe spelled wrong) greyjoy in game of thrones. Lol for a time me and my brother thought it was that her brother was playing Cersis brother cant remember that name at the moment.
