I've wondered if J Mascis of Dinosaur Jr is on the spectrum. From what I've seen he's typically monotone and very little eye contact. Like me! Guitar is clearly a special interest for him. I recall seeing some guitar geek type of interview where he was more animated and engaged talking about guitar and effects minutia than I'd ever seen in any other interview.

I'm also touched in the interview below when asked a personal question (song origin) without warning. He can't come up with an instant answer and seems uncomfortable.

Watching the first 1:30 or so is similar to how I inflect with minimal eye contact.

Magna I could only dream of speaking with his eloquence. Honestly! And his eye contact is better than mine. Way better! But, I see what you mean. 8)

...An album by the KronosQuartet called " Howl, U.S.A. ". It seems to be stuff associated with mid-2pth Century American " bohemianism "/the Beat Generation. My Pandora suggested it, perhaps because I have a Harry Partch station?

As promised, the song posts I'll do today will be exclusively from bands or musicians from Minnesota. I'll start off with one of the most well known:

Wow! I haven't hear this in almost twenty years! It's a solo acoustic show Paul Westerberg, the singer of the Replacements did in a small room annex stage to the club First Avenue in Minneapolis. The annex stage was called 7th St. Entry or just "The Entry". It was normally, but not always used as a proving ground for unknown bands.

I bought a bootleg cassette tape from a guy from this show but lost it years ago.

In the first ten seconds, I think he's joking about the Replacements firing him . But for anyone that wants to hear a THICK Minnesota accent, just listen to that first ten seconds paying attention to the word "ago": "This is the ballad of the Replacements. A band that fired me not long ago." It's more of a southern/metro MN accent than a northern MN accent.
