Finally managed to finish it the other day! :)

It was an excellent story in which the distortion between reality and fantasy became so blurred it was hard to tell what Charles Ward was really experiencing.

Was he possessed or not?

Ive been trying to read The Screwtape Letters, but I'm not getting into it. I might drop it and move on to Perelandra (my mother swears I need to read these books so she sent them to me).

Before that, it was One Day in the Life of Ivan Denisovich.

The Midnight Library by Matt Haig

Fascinating concept.

I want to try these books out of my own midnight library:
The one where I did an MA in a topic I actually enjoyed
The one where I moved town ill-advisedly, chasing politics and jobs. I don't think I'd enjoy that life I'm just curious as to where it'd lead.
The one where I stuck to my work in a shop rather than library work
The one where I looked after my teeth. Probably nothing else changed just want to know what it's like to have really good dental hygeine at my age.

I recently finished The Crippled God by Steven Erikson, the tenth and last volume of The Malazan Book of the Fallen. I have mixed feelings about the ending but more positive than negative. Most plotlines were resolved but it was too sprawling to conclude everything in a satisfactory way and it fits with the series' theme of history to end that way. It was one of the best fantasy series that I have read overall and a unique experience unlike anything else. It looks close to normal epic fantasy on the surface but is a lot deeper and weirder.

Ararat, by Christopher Golden.

A landslide on Mt. Ararat has opened up a previously undiscovered cavern on the mountain where what appears to be the remains of a ship is found. But the mummified remains of humans and animals inside it proves this is going to be a horror story.
So far, pretty good.
