I published a book!

And am having such fears - almost to the point of me shutting down - that no one will buy it and no one will show up for my NY event. I don't have any requests here but how do you get beyond that fear. I want to do it but I'm dreading it at the same time and close to just crawling in and giving up.

What is the worst that will happen?

You wrote a book. That's a dream for many people. You were brave enough to put it out there in the world where people can read it and then be mean about it and laugh at you or even worse be completely disinterested. If it wasn't scary it wouldn't be such an awesome achievement.

Do you have some friends who will come and support you? It's a little far for me, I'm afraid but I hope it goes well for you.

Kudos to you. You certainly are brave. Just be satisfied with inherent act of creating soemthing. Whatever happens happens. Unrealistic expectations are the biggest cause of dread. Anxiety is in most cases irrational. The biggest success are fraught with failures. Nobody wins every time. There is no failure, only learning experiences.
