Mick Avory is my favourite Kink, but I'm sure that the younger people here ask about my time warp, and that unknown person, by the name of Mick Avory. If you really want to know about time warps, and 60s band members, you can click on this link, below. I hope that this answers any questions about time warps and The Kinks.

I'm still not entirely sure why you are so fond of Mick Avory.

But each to their own.

Does Avory remind you of yourself in a way? You gave me a new perspective on the phrase "Time Warp" (cause I always thought "Rocky Horror" before  )

She loves Mick Avory because she strongly identifies with him. She talks about her "time warp" because she imitatess the dress, interests and lifestyle of someone who was alive during the 60s while being stuck in the modern day.

I hope I did a good job of explaining that for you, CockneyRebel. If I didn't, I apologize.

Because him and I are so much alike, you see. People also tend to favour celebrities that they look like. 8)

I look, sound and act like Mick Avory, and I share his innocence.

I have to be honest with myself, sometime. My mum never said that I came close to Ray Davies.

Hey CockneyRebel,

I looked The Kinks up on YouTube due to your talking about them here. I am slightly embarrassed to say that while I am pretty familiar with two of their songs--"You Really Got Me" and "All Day and All of the Night"--I did not realize that they had done them.

Truthfully, I recognized those songs from old commercials.

I learned something new--thank you. :D

Btw, love the rotating avatar pictures. :)

You've got to admit, that having a decent role model, who's a real person, is better than that Sid the Rat character, from 'Flushed Away', or Austin Powers, with his Mojo, who is just a character, and who isn't a real person. I've put many factors together, in my head, about personality, temperament, natural looks, body type, morals, my favourite era, my musical tastes and the gender that I identify with, together, and Mick Avory happens to be my perfect match to have, as a role model and a hero.

I've done a lot of research on various celebrities, who were well-known in the 60s, after Teresa first turned on me, on Canada Day, last summer, and I found "The One" to identify with, in Late September. 8)
