I DO like screamo, or at least SOME bands. But I'm not talking about the good ones. I'm talking about those bands your 11 year old sister/brother/cousin likes.
You know the ones. They start there songs by screaming RAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!! !! !! and then scream every syllable seperately. And they're lyrics sound like this:

I dislike every screamo band I have heard except for pg.99. Pg99 is pretty epic.

Well, a cursory glance through Wiki's list of screamo bands reassures me that I'm not familiar with the genre. Though admittedly it does sound shite from the description.

By far, the worst screamo band ever is Insane Clown Posse (ICP). Whenevr I see something icp related in hot topic or spencers, I'm tempted to destroy those items and tell the cashier I'm not paying for any damage done to what they consider "merchandise."

A lot of what is called screamo is only referred to as such due to the presence of screaming vocals. These days "screamo" generally refers to a style of hardcore punk music descended from the early emo-punk of Rites of Spring, while being distinct from the emotive pop-rock of the early Sunny Day Real Estate (unlike "indie emo" bands). I don't know the "worst" screamo band but there's a lot that I don't really care for; a lot of it just sounds like mud to me. pageninetynine, Orchid, Corea, Capsule, Portrait, and Assfactor 4 have their moments. So-called "screamo" bands like Silverstein and Alexisonfire have little in common with pageninetynine. (Which isn't necessarily a bad thing; I like the first Silverstein album)
